HD Online Player (Portable FrontPage 2003)

The Sansa e200R was released in October 2006. Physically identical to the regular Sansa e200, this player is sold exclusively at retailer Best Buy or directly through Rhapsody. The player has a feature called Rhapsody Channels, which is the online service's brand of podcasting, and also comes with preloaded content. The Rhapsody firmware also added support for AAC audio files. A regular e200 could be flashed into an e200R and back again.[25]

In 2003, long before music streaming, the majority of music was sold and consumed through physical means, primarily CDs. The rise of computers and internet speeds quickly lead to pirated music spreading online. For the first time, file sharing made it quick and easy for music lovers to access a world of music, without even leaving their home.

In the Digital Equipment Corporation research laboratories, a team of researchers led by Louise Monier and Michael Burrows created the AltaVista search engine. Thanks to high-performance hardware, AltaVista was able to perform a quick full-text search across a wide range of websites. In 1997, the first free online translator Babel Fish became part of AltaVista. In 2003, AltaVista was taken over by Yahoo! and due to Google's dominant position among search engines, the AltaVista project was terminated on July 8, 2013.
